Mid term break FINALLY! So ready for some me time away from studying. Started off my week with an amazing workout. Recently my workouts have been so full of energy but todays was definitely the best so far.
Today I focused on Back Squats, Dead lifts and Cleans.
Okay so my warm up....
I did the following (not weighted)
20 air squats
20 long lunges
10 box jumps
20 sit ups
10 hanging leg raises
x3
Then I began with Dead lifts.... I started with conventional ones and did 2 reps for 3 sets, then dropped the weight and did 5 reps for 5 sets.
Next up I did some straight leg Dead Lifts to really hit those hammies. I did 5 reps again for 3 sets.
I found a really useful tip for PRing in Dead lifts: Imagine that you are pushing the floor away from you rather than pulling up; It helps me anyway
Next I moved onto Cleans...
I have been practising Hand Cleans and Power Cleans recently, trying to perfect my form before I go too heavy; don't want to cause an injury. But I am defiantly increasing the weight and my form.
After Cleans, I moved onto Back Squats... for these I did 10 reps for 5 sets.
After these 3 lifts I then did some back extensions, sit ups, BB lunges and medicine ball power cleans.
Anddddd then finally finished off my workout with a WOD. I changed up my WOD today and decided to include some rowing into the mix.
Row 500m
20 pull ups
20 air squats
20 walking lunges
20 decline sit ups
20 hanging leg raises
x2
Enjoy
