After 4/5 weeks of NO leg workouts I have finally been given the all clear to start building them back up again. I have always had issues with my knees and they flared up big time but are feeling much better now. I will slowly be building the weight back up; don't need another injury. However, I am now facing serious problems with my feet from running and am going to have to put the running on hold until and if I recover.
Today I did Legs supersetted with core. Im starting off with lower weight and higher reps to prevent injury and I won't be doing as much squatting as previous. Part of todays workout is posted below.
'Monday Madness Workout'
SS: BB squats 15 x 5
10 kg Decline Sit ups 20 x 5
SS: Single leg Deadlift 15 x 4
10kg Side bends 12 x 4
SS: Leg extension 25 x 4
Ab crunch machine 10 x 4
SS: Leg curl 20 x 5
Hanging leg raises until failure x 5
The above is just part of my workout as I like to do a lot of volume in my workouts. Do the amount that works for you and your lifestyle.
